Warrington is the big town to the south of us, and the north side of it sits comfortably within our working area. From Leigh it’s a straight run down through Lowton and Culcheth. Croft is just over the lane from Culcheth. Winwick sits by the M62, and from there it’s minutes into Orford, Longford, Callands, Cinnamon Brow, Fearnhead and Birchwood. Quotes on that side of town are free, and there are no travel charges.
It’s a proper mix of gardens. Orford and Longford have the older terraces and post-war semis, with yards and long back gardens that reward straightforward, honest landscaping. Callands, Cinnamon Brow and Fearnhead are family-estate territory from the new-town years onwards, where the original fencing, paving and planting is now reaching the age when it needs replacing. Winwick keeps its village plots, with bigger gardens and open-field boundaries.
