A fast-growing town full of new gardens that need finishing properly, alongside Earlestown’s terraces and older plots.
Landscaping in Newton-le-Willows
Newton-le-Willows is one of the fastest-growing towns on our patch, around 25,000 people and climbing, with new homes going up at Tayleur Leas on the old Vulcan Works site, off Mill Lane and west of Common Road. For us it’s a straight run down the A572 through Lowton, about five miles door to door, so the whole town gets treated as local: free quotes, quick site visits and no travel charges.
It’s a town with proper railway pedigree. The Nine Arches of the Sankey Viaduct have carried trains over the valley here since 1830, and the older housing reflects it: Victorian terraces around Earlestown and its Friday market, the residential streets of Wargrave, and the 1840s foundry workers’ cottages of Vulcan Village, now a conservation area. Around the High Street, older gardens run down towards Willow Park and Newton Lake.
The new estates are where the landscaping need is loudest. Developers hand over a strip of builder’s turf, one fence and a couple of flags by the back door, and the compacted ground underneath means lawns fail, water sits and everything worth having still needs doing. First fences, proper patios, small-garden design and turf that actually roots: that’s the work this town generates, and it’s exactly what we do.
Around five miles from our Leigh base, covering Earlestown, Wargrave, Vulcan Village, Newton in Makerfield, Tayleur Leas and the rest of Newton-le-Willows (WA12).
