Free site visit We measure up, check levels and access, and ask what’s going on top, because that decides the depth, mesh and finish.

Written quote A clear, itemised price covering dig-out, sub-base, concrete, labour and waste removal. Fixed and in writing before we lift a tool.

Dig, shutter and pour Ground dug out, hardcore compacted, shuttering set square and level, membrane and mesh fitted, then the slab poured and tamped.

Cure and handover We protect the fresh slab, take all waste away, and tell you exactly when it’s ready to build on.

How thick does a shed base need to be?

For a standard garden shed, 100mm of concrete over a compacted hardcore base is typical. Heavier structures, garden rooms, garages, hot tubs, need more. We build to the load, not to a one-size-fits-all recipe.

How long before a new concrete base can be built on?

Concrete takes initial set within a day or two, but we recommend waiting around a week before putting a shed or garden room on it, and longer for heavy loads. We’ll give you a date when we pour.

Can you build to my garden room supplier’s specification?

Yes, that’s exactly how we prefer to work. Most garden room and shed companies issue a base drawing with dimensions, thickness and tolerance. Send it over with your enquiry and we’ll quote against it, so the installers have nothing to complain about when they arrive.

Do you dig out and take the soil away?

Yes. The dig-out, the old surface if there is one, and all spoil removal are included in the quote. We also compact a proper hardcore sub-base before any concrete goes in, because pouring a concrete pad straight onto soil is how bases crack.
